Las Olas Boulevard is the heart and soul of Fort Lauderdale. It is renowned as a dining and shopping destination for locals and visitors. There are sidewalk cafes and bars, restaurants and bistros, ice cream shops, art galleries, as well as some very unique stores. Las Olas Boulevard also sponsors many events throughout the year. These include Art Festivals, Car Shows, a Christmas Boat Parade, Wine and Food Festivals, and a massive St Patrick Day Parade, just to name a few. Above all, it is ideally situated close to Fort Lauderdale beach, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades.

Las Olas Boulevard, the prestigious boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, begins at the Atlantic Ocean and ends west at the Museum of Art. It is a popular destination with historic beauty and picturesque views of the Intracoastal Waterways, homes and yachts. Las Olas Boulevard runs right through the heart of the downtown shopping district and the Venice community of Fort Lauderdale.

Called the Venice of America, the eastern section of Las Olas is interlaced with canals, waterways and stunning waterfront homes with yachts of all sizes. Here locals and tourist alike enjoy walking, biking and jogging all while breathing the fresh ocean air. 

The Las Olas Boulevard Isles are an amazing place to call home. As soon as you enter one of the Isles, you become isolated from the downtown traffic and noise. You will find yourself in a peaceful location and experience a totally different ambiance. To be sure, to live here is to experience a peaceful existence.

Heading west past the Isles, the commercial stretch of Las Olas Boulevard begins. It is approximately one mile in length. This section is called the Riverfront area. It features cool sub-tropical breezeways and courtyards alive with bars, nightclubs, shops, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and museums.

Moreover, from Las Olas Boulevard, you can easily access the Riverwalk Park. Spanning the north and south banks of the New River, the waterfront park is located in the heart of Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Lush tropical landscape and winding walkways link attractions, restaurants and shops. The Riverwalk sponsors various activities throughout the year as a way to promote a more vibrant community. These include free jazz concerts on the first Sunday of every month. Other activities include an annual Chili Cook Off and Battle of the Bands. Nearby, plan a visit to the historical Stranahan House, Fort Lauderdale’s oldest structure.

Fort Lauderdale, known as the Venice of America, boasts three hundred miles of inland waterways. From the Riverwalk, you can access Fort Lauderdale’s Water Taxi. Take a narrated tour and explore the beauty of the Venice of America. The Water Taxi has ten stops in Fort Lauderdale. It can transport you from downtown all the way to Bokamper’s Sports Bar and Grill, the Galleria Mall, Fort Lauderdale Beach and many other destinations. In addition, the Water Taxi can take you to Hollywood and Miami Beach.

Other nearby attractions are also accessible from the Riverwalk.  Attend a performance at the Broward Performing Arts Center, visit the Museum of Art, and the Museum of Discovery & Science. Drop by the Imax Theatre and the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. Indeed, there is something for everyone on and near Las Olas Boulevard. It is truly a vibrant and fun area!
