Gavin McNeal Fort Lauderdale Broker
Originally from the small city of Newport, VT, Gavin moved to Fort Lauderdale in the fall of 1998 to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Animation. Although it was never his intention to stay, it didn’t take him long to realize that Fort Lauderdale was the place to call home. After achieving his Bachelor’s Degree, he spent much of the 2000’s working for Visual FX and video game companies. He has contributed work to over 30 published video game titles which include Intellectual Property owned by Disney, ABC, WB, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Lucas Arts, and more. Gavin’s list of accomplishments also include the founding of Reel Ten Inc., a video game company in Fort Lauderdale that has three video games published to date, including two based on real estate. The combination of Gavin’s passion for computer graphics, business, real estate and South Florida resulted in the real estate video game Renovate & Relocate: Miami produced by Reel Ten Inc., and ultimately the realization of his goal to become a Fort Lauderdale Realtor. Gavin is an expert in the Fort Lauderdale area, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise about buying and selling real estate. With technologically savvy computer & graphics skills, Gavin designed and built LivingLasOlas.com to provide all the tools necessary for both buyers and sellers in the real estate market. It’s not the same everywhere, so you need a Fort Lauderdale Realtor you can trust for up-to-date information.
On A Personal Note
What do you do when you’re not selling homes?
I have a long list of activities that I like to do when I have the free time. But most of the time you will find me on my mountain bike, either riding down Las Olas and along the beach or at various parks around the area that have mountain bike trails. It’s a lot of fun and is great exercise.
What is your favorite neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale?
As a Fort Lauderdale Realtor, this question is a touch one! First off, as long as I’m in Fort Lauderdale I’m happy. Second I prefer the East and that pretty much goes without saying. Who doesn’t want to be as close to the Ocean as possible. With that said, I would have to say Idlewyld in the Las olas Isles Neighborhood. It’s a smaller community and it really feels like a small town neighborhood when your walking, driving or biking through it. It would be a nice place to call home. Although, I think most people would say Harbor Beach or Rio Vista.
Are you a sports Fanatic?
I enjoy watching sports on occasion, but I wouldn’t call myself a fanatic. I watch the NFL sometimes and I do have a favorite team. I follow the NHL a lot more since I grew up playing hockey and try to watch as many of the playoff games as I can leading up to the Stanley Cup Final. Whenever possible, I also enjoy watching both the Summer and Winter X Games since I was a Motocross bike racer when I was young and of course, growing up in Vermont, I was riding snowmobiles in the winter.
What are your favorite NHL & NFL teams?
Where is your favorite vacation destination?
I had always wanted to go to Italy and recently my girlfriend and I made that happen. I loved it there and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. The one thing I regret is not making it to Venice. Since I’m a Fort Lauderdale Realtor in the Venice of America, it seems appropriate to go there for a visit… A perfect excuse to go back!
What’s your favorite restaurant in Fort Lauderdale?
There are so many great restaurants around, so it’s hard to say. I would rate them on my overall experience, to include the food, service, décor and atmosphere. That said, I would have to admit that Café Europa, on Las Olas Blvd, is one of my favorites.
